Founders' Day 2024

On 22 May, we celebrate a momentous occasion at Hume Anglican Grammar as we come together to commemorate Founders’ Day.

This special day is dedicated to honouring the individuals whose dedication and foresight were instrumental in establishing our school. The day provides us with an opportunity to reflect on our beginnings, cherish the present and set our sights on the future.

Fun-filled celebrations were held across all three campuses. At our Mt Ridley campus, students and staff gathered in the Sports Centre for a Prep to Year 12 Assembly, that included student performances and an inspiring address from Jacob Angelino, a proud graduate of the Class of 2018, who shared his reflections on his time at Hume.

Meanwhile at Donnybrook, staff and students gathered on the soccer pitch and, at Kalkallo they gathered on the hardcourts for a drone photo prior to their assemblies, symbolising the remarkable growth and development of each campus.

Throughout the school, a diverse range of engaging activities took place to celebrate Founders’ Day. From House Activities, talent shows, student concerts to student-led barbecues and the ever-so-popular Dunk Tank, with many of our Primary staff braving the icy water whilst students waited patiently for their opportunity to dunk the teacher. The day was filled with joyous laughter and unforgettable moments.

The enthusiastic participation of our students in all the activities is a testament to the success of our school and we are grateful for the opportunity to commemorate the legacies of our Founders.

As we look to the future, we are filled with confidence that the forthcoming years will be as vibrant and flourishing as our first 17 years have been.

Happy Birthday Hume Anglican Grammar!
