Students across both campuses would start out 2022 event calendar with a splash, taking part in Swimming Carnivals across multiple locations throughout February.
The Year 3-6 students from Mt Ridley would get us started with a day of competitive fun at Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre. The various novelty events in the shallow pool and use of the water slides ensured all students had an opportunity to get involved. Many competed for their House in 25m and 50m swimming events where all 4 swimming strokes were on display (and maybe a few new ones!). House Spirit was alive and well but it would be the lions of Summerhill House who took home the first silverware of the year.
Later that week, our Donnybrook Campus would host the largest ever sporting event in it's short history as students from Year 3 - 6 would dive into the pool at Splash Aquatic Centre. With energy levels high and participation strong, this time it would be Craigie House coming home as champions of the day.
Finally, our senior students would complete the trifecta of pool-based events - returning to Oak Park Sports and Aquatic Centre to showcase their skills. In a day highlighted by a number of outstanding individual performances, nothing would stop Ridley House from holding the trophy aloft for their first success of the year.
