Primary students at Hume Anglican Grammar will be given the opportunity to participate in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) again this year. ICAS is developed by UNSW Global, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of New South Wales, with over 35 years’ experience in educational assessments. The assessments are designed to target students’ higher order thinking and problem-solving skills in English, Mathematics and Science.

Each assessment celebrates students’ accomplishments by providing opportunities for recognition. Every student will receive a certificate and an online result report.

If you would like to register your child for one, or all, of the assessments, please check the table below to ensure that s/he is at the appropriate year level to participate.

Year 2 students are able to enter the Science, English, Spelling Bee and Mathematics tests.      

Before registering your child, please be aware that the Donnybrook and Kalkallo Primary Production of “The Lion King Jr.” is being held from Monday, 29 to Wednesday, 31 August with rehearsals being held throughout the day.  Please keep this in mind before registering your child for the Mathematics test that runs during this week.

All assessments will be completed on-line at the campus where your child is enrolled.

Parents will be able to register and pay competition fees directly via the ICAS Parent Payment System. Simply click on the link below, enter the School Access Code to register and pay for the assessments you wish your child to complete.

Students will not be able to participate unless they have been entered and paid for before closing on Monday, 1 August.  No refund will be issued for competitions not attended, and it is the responsibility of the parent/student to ensure they are able to attend the competition on the designated date (see below).
