On Tuesday, 18 May, Prep students visited Bundoora Farm for their very first excursion. The children have been learning about different farm animals, their needs and how farmers look after the animals each day.
The students participated in a range of activities at the farm including, feeding the animals, holding and petting the animals, gardening and composting, arts and crafts, and a tour through the wildlife enclosure to view kangaroos and emus in their natural habitat. They were all very excited to share their favourite part of the day when we returned to school.
The students are using their new knowledge and experiences to form a basic information report on the different farm animals they saw. The Prep teachers were very proud to see the excited and happy faces of the children when interacting with the animals. Well done on your first excursion!
