On Friday, 11 October, we had the pleasure of welcoming distinguished guest, Mrs Maria Vamvakinou MP, Federal Member for Calwell, at our Kalkallo campus for the Official Building Opening of the Years 3 and 4 Learning Neighbourhood.
We were also honoured to have Mrs Leanne Connor, Chair of the Melbourne Anglican Diocesan Schools Commission, in attendance.
The opening ceremony provided a formal opportunity to celebrate the state-of-the-art building and express our appreciation to the Commonwealth Government for their support under the Capital Grants Program.
Our special guests were treated to an exceptional singing performance by our talented students in the Italian Choir, and select staff and students shared their favourite features of the state-of-the-art building.
The Years 3 and 4 Learning Neighbourhood boasts open presentation hubs, reading areas, breakout rooms, and ancillary spaces.
The ceremony was officiated with the unveiling of a plaque and a ribbon cutting marking a proud moment for students, the community and Hume Anglican Grammar.
