Construction Update - Hume Anglican Grammar

As the School’s development continues, there are several exciting construction projects underway across each campus.

The construction of three new Secondary hard courts at the Donnybrook campus has begun. These hard courts will be lined for netball, basketball and volleyball, further enriching the school’s Co-curricular Program and providing more opportunities for students to engage in physical activities.

One of the most anticipated developments at Donnybrook is the construction of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Centre. This cutting-edge facility is making good progress and will be ready for the beginning of 2025. It will offer open and interactive learning spaces, including four science labs, a maker space, project space, and a design/technology room, aiming to provide students with a wide array of learning opportunities. Before the year is out, we can expect to see the commencement of Building H, which will look much like Building F the two-storey classrooms currently accommodating the Year 8s.

Meanwhile, at Kalkallo, construction is well underway for the new Resource Centre, which is the first of the specialist facilities for the campus. This will feature dedicated Arts and STEM learning spaces, as well as a library equipped with an 'Imaginarium' and two collaborative rooms. Additionally, plans for the new Years 3/4 playground are nearing completion, with construction expected to start soon. The school is also in advanced stages of planning for Stage 4, the Years 5/6 centre, to be constructed next year.

At Mt Ridley, renovation work is ongoing to convert the Coach House into expanded office space for school business services upstairs. The downstairs area will also include a redeveloped Health Centre, three offices for Student Allied Health Services (School Counsellors and Psychologists), and a meeting room for parent-teacher conferences, showcasing the school's dedication to providing comprehensive support services for its community.

The commitment to enhancing the learning environment and overall experience at Hume is evident in the ongoing construction projects, affirming that Hume Anglican Grammar is Building Brighter Futures.
