Public Speaking Competition - Donnybrook

Our Year 3 - 6 students have participated in their first public speaking competition. The Year 3 and 4 students wrote an information report and the 5 and 6 students wrote a persuasive piece. Students prepared their speeches and then performed them in class, and students were then selected to present again against other classes in their year level. Students from the Year level finals were then selected to perform in the Grand Final. It was a great thrill to see the students present with such confidence and enthusiasm.

The Year level Grand Final winners were:

Jasveer Bhatia - Year 3
Ramneeq Hunjan - Year 4
Swarnim Thapaliya - Year 5
Gursehajpreet Hansra - Year 6

The overall winner was Swarnim who presented a thought-provoking speech about racism.  Congratulations to all students for their speech writing and performances.
