Popping Popcorn in Prep!
Last week, Kalkallo Prep students were learning about the letter P and the sound it makes. As part of our learning, we made popcorn in a popcorn machine. The students loved the experience of watching and listening to the machine convert the corn seeds into popped corn. They loved when the machine started throwing popcorn into the bowl and everywhere else, including the floor!
After this, we explored vocabulary about what we could see, hear, and smell. The students then wrote about the experience using sounds and words that we have learned in the classroom.
