MR Primary Art Exhibition

This week the artistic talents of our Prep to Year 6 Primary students have been on display at our inaugural Primary Art Exhibition.

The Year 5 and 6 Centre has been transformed into a stunning visual showcase with all Primary school student’s visual artwork represented. The artworks include 3D sculptures, collage, graffiti art, paintings and drawings, many inspired by famous artists from the past and present, including Vincent Van Gogh, Wassily Kandinsky, Yayoi Kusama and Artur Bordalo.

Showcasing The Arts is something we value here at Hume Anglican Grammar. It often becomes evident that student talents extend beyond the core subjects of Literacy, Numeracy, Science and Humanities. The Arts allow students to demonstrate their creativity and imagination and make connections with their understanding of the world in which they live.

The Primary Art exhibition has been a wonderful success with many students, staff and parents taking the time to visit the exhibition as students proudly point out their artwork to their parents. Our Visual and Performing Arts program has gone from strength to strength as we continue to provide our students with a broad range of opportunities to let their colours shine. Congratulations to all involved in planning and creating this wonderful exhibition!
