Year 5 - Mt Ridley
What a terrific start to 2022! This year commenced with great vigour and enthusiasm and promises to be a dynamic one.
Term 1 was action-packed with heaps of fun-filled learning experiences. With a mixture of excursions, incursions, learning activities within the classrooms, including hosting the year level Primary school Assembly and participating in the chapel services, our Year 5 students have engaged wholeheartedly. It is worth mentioning our trips to the STEM centre where the students participated in Curriculum related experiments. They enthusiastically made slime, created oobleck and mixed substances together to discover the states of matter.
The highlights of Term 1 were probably the trip to the Melbourne Zoo and the Buddy Program. Our Year 5 students have shown great resilience and upheld the school values especially when working with their Prep buddies. We are extremely proud of our students for their praiseworthy care and responsible actions displayed for the younger students.
It is pleasing to observe that all students are excited to be back in the classroom after the school holidays and are eagerly looking forward to yet another busy though exciting Term 2. They will continue to enhance their knowledge and understanding in the learning activities this term.
